the new Instructional Designer
Sonny Kirkley, CEO of Information in Place, Inc. is not what I expected from an Ph.D. in IST. He's progressive, driven, and clever. With a lot of ingenuity and, it seems, luck and timing, he and his team have positioned themselves at the center of the educational gaming industry. Creating serious games for the military, K-12 educators, and corporations, they seek to harness gaming technology to contextualize learning. The constructivist in me wanted to shout YEA! when he said "Content deliver is NOT the way to go". Indeed.

It was refreshing to see someone with a degree in IST using technology to create instructional systems. Not a word about the ADDIE model, human performance technology or ISPI! There is hope.
